Savannah- Mr. OV "Vernon" Kennedy, 89, died Wednesday, March 25, 2009 at his residence.

He was a native of Tattnall County but lived most of his life in Savannah. Mr. Kennedy retired from Savannah Electric and Power Company after many years of service. He was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Nina DeLoach Kennedy of Savannah; son, Ronald V. Kennedy and his wife, Janice of Pensacola, FL; three grandchildren, Susan Curtis and her husband, Craig of Orlando, FL, Erin Tudor and her husband, Jeremy of Marietta and Devin Kennedy of Orlando, FL; four great-grandchildren, Alex and Ava Curtis and Will and Allie Tudor; sister, Evelyn Alderman of Statesboro.

Visitation: 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, March 27, 2009 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Islands Chapel.

Funeral Service: 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 28th at the Islands Chapel of Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors.

Burial: Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
